GovTech Estonia
In 2023, Estonia hosted the 8th Open Government Partnership (OGP) Global Summit, an international meeting point where governments, civil society and innovators discussed the future of open government.
In her inaugural address, Prime Minister Kaja Kallas emphasized that:
“Estonia is an example of how digital transformation has allowed us to achieve greater transparency, efficiency, and give citizens real access to public services.”
“An open and free digital society can also help expose malicious influences, strengthen media literacy, and protect our democracy from growing threats.”
Her words resonated powerfully: technology is not an end in itself, but a lever to strengthen institutions, build social trust and reinforce civic rights in a global context of democratic fragility.
I built more transparent, efficient, and humane institutions.
With Amaia, bring the principles of open government to every selection and public management process.
